THE BLACK BOX OF ALGORITHMS
ABOUT
In the contemporary climate of social media flooding people's daily lives, there's a huge amount of digital information coming at me every day, and whenever Yuki switch on her mobile phone, she delight in it. But when she switch off her phone, what she feels is emptiness and loneliness. In this black box of technology, something manipulates these digital informations, it could be capital or the algorithm itself. Something isolates her in a huge bubble of information that slowly detaches her from reality, slowly stops her from thinking and accepts control. Based on these, she would like to use video and game interaction to show how human beings are trapped, as well as to provoke the audience to think about what it is that traps human.

ANTHROPOMORPBIC ALGORITHMS
Anthropomorphic algorithms perform the work of categorising human data in a separate space, which feeds the algorithm, but behind it remains the manipulation of human capital.

The algorithms look like grotesque,
tentacled machines that manipulate
and control, a series of ordered
steps that emphasise the sequential
nature of the algorithm and the flow
of its execution.
There are many concepts in decision trees that describe data as branches growing, which can be applied to the design of algorithmic images.
