B-PARK

ABOUT

(B means Bioluminescence.)

Light pollution is a pollution problem that arises from the excessive use of lighting systems by humans. This pollution seriously affects the migration of birds, misleads the path of sea turtles back to the sea and human sleep disorders.

Glowee has developed a luminous substance derived from deep-sea organisms, which is called bioluminescence. By injecting oxygen into the bioluminescent liquid, the liquid can be made to glow.

Using this property, Yuki and her companion Ning Ding developed the concept of a bioluminescent park. They wanted to use the park as a venue with facilities and interactive installations inside, together with a mini programme, to communicate the dangers of light pollution in light and alternatives to artificial light, bioluminescence, so that the public can take light pollution seriously.
